Yesterday was the annual print show of the ‘Bloom & Bliss’ at Side Street Studios and Brutal curation in Woodstock, Cape Town. (@side_street_studios and @brutal_curation @sj_artists_ .)
The vibrant exhibition showcased the vast different powerful visual languages of each artist. There are 48 artists on show each with a print. Ranging from explosive colours to various techniques, themes, and compositions.
Iconography like popular culture, to the human form and the different languages of graphic and illustrative elements were all experienced with the uniform sizing and black walls creating order in the chaos.
Each print is a limited edition of 48 with a space to order your desired artwork. As a print show there was a focus on creating affordable art which is a key factor in creating and cultivating new art collectors.
The show is set in the heart of Woodstock surrounded by beautiful murals reflecting the artistic hub everywhere you look.
